Peer Community In (PCI) is a new method of scientific dissemination based on the evaluation and recommendation of preprints. A PCI is a group of hundreds of scientists within a scientific discipline (for example Evolutionary Biology) who evaluate and publically recommend preprints for free.

1) The PCI process guarantees and makes public the scientific validity of your preprint. It can be cited as peer-reviewed.
2) The PCI process is totally free for the authors and the readers
3) Once recommended, your preprint will be linked to the recommendation text and the reviews. This transparency lets readers understand why the manuscript is being recommended.
4) A recommendation by a PCI does not preclude a submission of your preprint to a journal afterward. Thus, there is nothing to loose except some extra time.
5) Submitting a preprint to PCI may increase your chances of publication in a journal since the manuscript will have already been peer-reviewed and may have gained in quality.
