Paula Robinson - The Bogey Man
3 Views • Nov 07, 2014
Description
I was frozen to the spot and I had to hold my breath
I wondered if he could see me, if he could smell my fear
I thought I felt him breathing, a whisper in my ear
My muscles turned to jelly, veins started to pulsate
My hands over my eyes, I didn’t want to see my fate
My heart started racing, each beat a thunderous roar
My pupils dilated, with the opening of the door
I dived into the covers, pulled the pillow over my head
I prayed he wouldn’t get me; I’d be safe inside my bed
I waited for the moment, in my bedroom he did creep
I braced myself for his words……..
“Mummy, I can’t sleep”
