Society deems the strong hold the power
The weak are controlled then slowly devoured
Guided by greed with no will of their own
Some lives will be shattered by the toss of a stone

Twisted by hatred, revenge thought as cool
Some children steal guns and take them to school
Young bodies lay waste in a moment of rage
Shot down by a classmate, a child their own age

Some women are beaten by the men that they love
Then told they're to blame when push comes to shove
Others are raped, some killed just for spite
No matter the reason, a wrong can't be right

A prayer for the child with innocent heart
Made to grow up in a world torn apart
Forced to endure neglect and abuse
For actions like these there is no excuse

Forgiveness and love will stop all the madness
Happiness is born from the death of all sadness
Trust and believe and you'll never go wrong
The weak will then rise and all will be strong
