Pascal Payant - Opium

Short film shot in 2008 in L.A .
i was hired by the actress Piya Pinvatana to direct her short film.
it's a preview for her feature film that she's producing.

It's based on the featured film called Red Bird.

she wrote it and i supervised and changed some things in it.

She flew me from montreal to L.A and shot this without any preparation.

The actor Lewis Smith was very generous of his time to be in this movie. he was my idol when i was young.

no budget at all. we shot this in 2 days. i did everything. except casting. Shot with Letus35fe and DVX100b

Everything is there for a reason. the look, the sounds etc..
