The Charge Air Cooler Temperature Sensors tell the engine control module the temperature of the air going into an out of the charge air cooler assembly. The function of the Charge Air Cooler Assembly is to cool the air coming out of the turbocharger before it goes into the engine. If the PCM detects an incorrect signal from the Charge Air Cooler Sensor, the PCM will set code P00A1.

What causes the problem with the Charge Air Cooler Temperature Sensor Circuit?
