Watch as a laid-back orangutan turns a simple trip across its enclosure into a comedy act by sliding down a rope while enjoying an apple.

Tuong Pham captured the amusing moment at the Houston Zoo in Texas, USA.

The video shows the orangutan comfortably reclining on its back atop a sloping rope stretched across the habitat.

Rather than climbing down in the usual way, the orangutan casually slides along the rope while continuing to munch on its apple.

Looking completely relaxed, the orangutan appears unfazed by the ride, balancing effortlessly as it descends.
