Silas Puetz, from Edmonds, Washington, USA captured the intense weather event after getting caught in the storm while coaching a PE class in Mexico.

The video shows a massive column of dust and debris spinning across the dirt field beneath a clear blue sky, with powerful winds whipping sand high into the air.

As the vortex races across the open ground, several young players can be seen running to safety while others stop to film the unusual phenomenon.

Silas said: “I got caught up in a dust storm during a PE class I was coaching and took my phone out for a video.”
