OpenAI has launched its first commercial hardware!

Meet Codex Micro — a compact control deck built for agentic coding with Codex. It features customizable RGB status keys, dedicated AI shortcuts, a reasoning-effort dial, and even a voice button to talk directly to Codex.

Built with Workloader, Codex Micro works on both Windows and Mac, making it easier to manage multiple AI coding agents without constantly switching between chats. At $230, it's OpenAI's first commercial hardware product—but it's not the same device being developed with Jony Ive.
