You perched wistfully
like a sad balloon
wearing out of helium
tottering the sad world
with a reticent stride,
dragging your string
through your bouncing flight

The inflection of languor
in your ebullient disposition
made many a men ask
why you fly above pigeons
to be below the stars?
You took higher,
everything shrunk behind

The world below is full
of towers and spires
taunting to shear
the ripe azure of the skies,
you left them flustered
when you float higher
without a worldliness
in your sad eyes
