Hank
Was some spider
Lived in a crack in the wall
Behind the toilet
When we first saw him
We shuddered and said - out
But he begged and pleaded

It’s not easy he said
Everyone’s ecological
Until you say big spider
Then charity’s right out the door
But everyone needs a home
And they don’t let spiders
Sell the Big Issue

So we let him stay
And called him Hank
Because he looked as if he’d suit
Those big black rimmed glasses
And, he said
He played a mean guitar
