NEW Game, NEW Player! | NIGHT CHAT

Hello. Sorry about the crappy audio. For the vocals too. I’ve been having a hard time with the audio and video recording. I’m usually pretty good at this sort of thing. But I’m more nervous than I’ve ever been. Probably because after all the practicing, and all the games, this is the first time I was serious about uploading. That no matter what, this was it and I was going to upload it.

Now, despite being too nervous and forgetful about what I wanted to say in the video, I still want to say it. So I’ll drop my opinion of this game right here.

Night Chat is a short Indie horror game developed by Fede Alvarez for a game jam. Let me start off by saying that I was impressed by this game. Judging by the fact that the game was “made in a couple of weeks in [their] free time”. The game has a concise narrative. Making use of a variety of tools in the game. Like, the dark and quiet room, the placement of the character and the chat app. Which has the little context that tells you you're playing a person who was dicking around online. Either on some haunted app or on the dark web. Then these “Ghost Men” show up and you have to “survive”.

The main play of this game is to keep up with these “Ghost Men” as they appear. You’re trying to keep up with them in the dark while you’re already backed up against the wall; which adds to this desperation to keep up. It ultimately makes for a game that’s kooky, fun and it's nerve-wracking trying to keep up so it becomes this funny experience.

P.S. My mousepad is literally my sketchpad. Sorry if the movement was choppy.
