Mumbai Locals protest against Deonar fire

Mumbai, Mar 22 (ANI): A day after the Deonar dumping ground fire engulfed the area in thick smog, the local residents staged a protest against the administration at Azad Maidan on Tuesday. People gathered to protests against smog-filled air caused due to the Deonar dumping ground fire. However, a police complaint was registered by the Mumbai civic body after it suspected sabotage in the massive fire at the Deonar dumping ground. Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) Commissioner Ajoy Mehta told the reporters that a foul play was suspected behind the incident. A massive fire broke out at the dumping ground, spread over 132 hectares and having at least 12 million tonnes of garbage, on Sunday night.
