Designed by the expert Franco Lambertini, Mark Tompkins sec says that this engine uses a special command of the distribution in which the camshafts are driven by a mixed gear / chain. It is also characterized by strong measures superquadre bore and stroke (107 x 66 mm) and therefore is even more "pushed" unit that equips the Ducati 1098 R (106 x 67.9 mm). To be sure, then, the Morini Corsa Corta is the founder of the latest generation of two-cylinder 1200 cc.
