I heard you whispering your doubts
Or maybe it was only a dream
I'm trying my best I'm never running out
I love you with all my heart if you know what I mean

I broke the skin when I bit my lip
I single dropp of blood was what I tasted
Never wasted another drop
Needed it for loving you

I heard you talking with ma
Or maybe I'm just hearing things
but I know what I saw
You picked up my broken heart and gave it wings

I broke my fingers when I crossed them that day
I didn't know what to say except that I was okay
and if I may I'd like to stay and you said that was okay
and we'd lay in the shade of our problems and worry another day

I heard you screaming
My ears were bleeding
I prayed that I was dreaming
and I was in the end

The key is that problem's never go away
Just like I am, they're here to stay
I've accepted and faught been distraught
because I feel like I'm fighting alone
