Monster Viral Video

The viral video of Monster aimed to support the launch of Monster -the world's largest career website – in Turkey. It was produced to create buzz and word of mouth in order to achieve this aim.
The idea behind this viral video is to use a viral celebrity who is famous in Monster's home country, the USA. We used the hand musician Gerry Philips to tell the story that “Monster.com is coming to Turkey”. By using a Turkey’s local song and an American viral celebrity, we gave the impression of a warm homecoming and created buzz. The video was posted to only 2 sites and in a matter of days, it spread to more than 50 sites, blogs and even TV shows.
The video was very successful as a viral campaign because the message was unexpected and the Turkish people's enjoyment was taken into consideration while producing the idea and the video as well.
Although it is a niche project, the video has been watched more than 200,000 times in a month.
