Description
Otters are at the top of their food web and concentrate (bio-accumulate) man-made toxic and/or non-biodegradable chemicals in their bodies. Samples taken from dead otters have been used to monitor pollution for around 20 years. The otter project also investigate many other aspects of otter (Lutra lutra) biology and ecology.
