November taken
time taken
History in the end
was it's own unmaking

'us...them'

We were, after all, only
very ordinary men

'What we would do? '

night likens unto a blanket
we can pull over our lives
and hide safe and warm

and in the blackness
catch we the waves
of the reflecting pool
that roll and undulate
into an eternal flame
that dances in the shadows
of our eye's memories
forgotten untill the chords struck
