Watch the butterfly as she beats her wings
She comes to you and your name, she sings
She respects you and treats you as her king
She smiles as she plucks your heart’s strings

A butterfly always smiles for you, she’s never sad
She never holds back with you, she gives you all she has
Even though you hurt her, she never gets mad
She has perpetually open arms, her expression’s always glad

A butterfly will never flee or run
She waits with a smile as bright as the sun
Even though you have faults, she mentions none
She belongs only to you, she goes to no one

A butterfly is beautiful, but she never stays
So while you have her, take care of her and she'll never go astray
Respect her, honor her and she'll love you for all of her days
But hurt her and you're doomed to see her back as she flies away
