On the brink of slumber there are sparkling landscapes,
With steep slopes of silence over still, peaceful ponds.
In breathtaking heights fly over those quiet waves
Flocks of waterfowl that glide along in thick bands.

Sunset of memory stretches our shades no more.
Light has yielded and sounds that no echo request.
Erased the path that led to my rubble before,
Deserted my regrets and deserted my rest.

To conjure up my dreams I have gone to great length
But I failed to avert with my words, with my rhymes
The decline of my sun and the ebb of my strength -
Memory - and your rise dashing, in spite of times.
