Enraptured by a gem, I'd return to my rest
There where the winds calm down and the sources suspend
Inert space and movement whose runs are caused to end
By the lure of a field flagged with tatters and shreds.

T' was a triumph with flags and altars of repose.
Cold heavens have lit on the Bears in the abyss.
I'm driven back into my ultimate recess,
A green country that lies under my lids enclosed.

It is a starred world that placid power has seized,
That's full of sparkling gems and gleams, where arises
-Shining forth like a jewel- an immobility

Where dawn would set ablaze pyres and flows of sounds staunch,
If the song did not dig this trench from where to launch,
In hails of shafts, slumbers full of disloyalty.

FORET SMARAGDINE

D'une gemme hanté regagner mon repos,
Où suspendent les vents et musèlent les sources
L'espace et le courant dont achève les courses
L'illusion d'un champ pavoisé d'oripeaux.

Voici qu'ont triomphé les haltes, les drapeaux.
Les froids ont allumé aux abîmes les Ourses.
Tu gagnes les confins et, dernière ressource,
Rejoins le pays vert qui règne sous les peaux.

Monde stellé qu'étreint une inerte puissance,
Où tout est pierreries et lueur et naissance
D'une immobilité qui rayonne -joyau-

Où l'aube allumerait des brasiers de silence
Si le chant ne creusait cette mine qui lance
D'une grêle de dards les sommeils déloyaux.
