My wings are broken,
Because you discouraged me
My tender heart is bruised
Because of all the rocks you threw
My smile is shattered
Because of the words you said
Those words you said
Will burn in my soul forever
My body is wounded
Because of how you berated me
My lungs cannot breathe
Because you took away my dignity
My eyes are crying
Because you took away everything I ever loved

You forced me to do these things
And now I know why
Because now I feel your pain;
As I felt those sighs.
