Additionally, he has worked as an executive officer of multiple businesses & projects across numerous sectors, having firsthand knowledge of what it takes to start and accelerate a business as an entrepreneur.
Rod has a knack for partnering startups with like-minded investors. His success has been built on the foundation of his ability to secure projects from start to finish, and secure successful multimillion-dollar projects in various industries. His ventures have included real estate, fintech, telecom, oil and gas, healthcare, and blockchain technologies.
The current focus for Rodrick Willis is the business Gazillion Ventures. Gazillion Ventures is an Opportunity Zone Accelerator that provides education, guidance, mentorship, and investment services to black entrepreneurs and businesses. The company offers its service to those within communities that have been designated as Qualified Opportunity Zones. Gazillion Ventures strives to eliminate investment inequalities to black businesses by spurring capital infusion into underinvested communities.
Rod feels that there is currently an overdue awakening to social and economic injustice that black people have experienced in America. Roderick's firm belief is that the solution to economic justice for the black community lies in focusing efforts on business, entrepreneurship, technology, venture capital, and crowdfunding in order to get investment capital participation.
He is currently focused on multiple opportunities ranging from oil and gas to technology. Still, Roderick Willis is excitedly passionate about small business incubation and acceleration in the Opportunity Zones throughout Texas and the U.S.
