Meet Ken Hitchner NJ

Ken Hitchner is an NJ-based communications strategist. He specializes in making brands look good through a variety of content, including PR, social media, content marketing, speeches, blogs, and videos. He has an impressive track record of success that has earned him multiple awards over the years.

Ken Hitchner attended Temple University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in journalism. He went on to Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ, where he earned his MBA in marketing as well as the Dr. S. George Walters Interfunctional Consulting Award. He also holds certificates in Google Analytics and Content Marketing.

Ken Hitchner, in NJ, is currently employed at CMA. CMA, or Creative Marketing Alliance, is a full-service strategic marketing firm. Ken’s roles there have included Public Relations and Social Media Director, Public Relations and Social Media Manager, and, most recently, Content Strategy Director.

Before CMA, Ken Hitchner was the Chief Content Officer for the Professional Service Group of Central NJ. During his tenure there, Ken created a 30-day Instagram campaign that led to a meeting with the US Secretary of Labor regarding best practices for hiring professionals with extended absences from the workforce. As a result, President Barack Obama asked 300 CEOs to sign a pledge to help long-term unemployed Americans. This accomplishment earned Ken a leadership award from the Rutgers University Alumni Association.

Ken Hitchner’s track record of success has earned him numerous other recognitions. He led the PR and social media unit of CMA to receive 15 industry awards including Best Social Media for Associations in the US from the International Card Manufacturers Association, PRSA Pyramid Award from the NJ State Nurses Association, NJ Ad Club Silver Award-Blogs from Amerlux, and the NJ Ad Club Gold Award-Media Relations and NJ Ad Club Gold Award-Facebook Marketing from NJSNA.

In February of 2019, Ken Hitchner was appointed to the New Jersey Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA NJ) to the 2019 PRSA NJ board. In this role, Ken leads public relations and promotion initiatives for PRSA NJ. PRSA NJ is the NJ chapter of PRSA, which is the largest organization for PR professionals in the world.
