James “Bruce” Melbert is a family man and an independent consultant based in Plano, TX. Bruce has a strong track record of success throughout his career. He also has an impressive background in starting and growing profitable companies in a variety of industries.
James Bruce Melbert graduated from the University of Texas, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in finance. Bruce started his career in the banking industry, eventually working his way to becoming the President of Texas Commerce Bank Casa Linda.
Bruce started his company, Brumar Associates, Inc., in 2006. The business was a state-licensed amusement vending company that offered revenue sharing opportunities to the retail store owners who hosted the game machines. The business included a payphone division, which grew from 100 payphones to over 2500 throughout east Texas. By the time Bruce sold the company to a competitor, it had operated in over 250 profitable locations.
James Bruce Melbert’s next business venture was CMNA Spirits, Inc. This company was a sales and marketing business that specialized in imported ultra-premium tequila. In the seven years that Bruce ran the business, the company went from local sales in primarily Los Angeles and Las Vegas to being sold in over 60 locations.
Today, Bruce Melbert works as a consultant at his own firm, Bruce Melbert Consulting. As a consultant, Bruce provides valuable services to new and existing businesses. He crafts marketing plans for ongoing projects and assists in grant writing, change management, human resource planning, and compliance. Bruce’s work is incredibly important to him and has created a strong sense of accomplishment and value in his life.
James Bruce Melbert is also currently working to help Native American tribal organizations become self-reliant in their energy production. He is working with an Oklahoma-based tribe and assisting them in creating energy and financial self-sufficiency. Their goal is to plan and construct an energy plant that will provide the tribe with generational stability.
The most crucial aspect of Bruce’s life, however, is his family. He has two grown children who are very successful and make him proud. He also has children through his marriage who bring him and his wife great joy.
