Description
Doug DeLuca is a third-generation home builder from Virginia. He is the founder of Federal Stone and Brick, an environmentally friendly building company, and specializes in kitchen design as well as custom designs.
Prior to founding his own company, Doug worked at the Ralph Lauren flagship store in New York City for five years. During his tenure at Ralph Lauren, he gained a love for Americana design and found influence from the Senior Vice President of Advertising, Mary Randolph Carter. Her influence taught him the value of lifestyle in home design, and Doug took that to heart in his own designs since then.
His talent in design, specifically kitchen design, is what won Doug DeLuca the Viking award for excellence in the area. He is currently a featured designer for them. Doug gives his all when designing a home, committing himself to his work and immersing himself in the design. In fact, Doug is known to live in unfinished spaces he’s building so he can get a good sense of how the space will be used.
As a builder, Doug DeLuca has a strategic mind. He uses his experience and expertise in strategic planning, investment properties, new business development, and more. As a person, Doug is heavily involved with his community, working on the Washington Animal Rescue League board and the West End Cinema board. He is passionate about his philanthropic pursuits and frequently donates to organizations in the Washington area. Specifically, Doug often donates to Georgetown University’s Lombardi Cancer Center.
When not working, Doug DeLuca enjoys gardening. A passion of his, Doug has been a gardener since his childhood, where he used his home in the Virginia suburbs to practice and hone his green thumb. For Doug, gardening is a stress reliever and a form of expression for him. He further expresses himself by creating art. Though he owns his own business now, he still works as an artist for the Ralph Lauren company and designs American flags for them annually.
Doug DeLuca works tirelessly through Federal Stone and Brick to create beautiful, environmentally friendly homes in Virginia and beyond. He also works with Reclaimed America to assist in restoring old barns and reclaim wood, overseeing each project his company is involved in.
