There isn't enough time
And life as we know it
Is too sublime
It soars on through
Before we even have a clue
All the laughter we have shared
And all the times that we have cared
All the pictures on the wall
Really do tell it all
All the years have passed
But how much longer can this last?

Engraved into the tree
Is everything we used to be
Love never ended
Nor needed mended
The sky so pale and blue
Taught us everything we came to knew
And standing by me
Through it all
Was no other, but you
