The purpose of this documentary film is to develop conscious towards maternal mortality policy issues to strengthen the health system functioning. This documentary film tells the story of various maternal health care initiatives, current experiences and system challenges.
Further, the film provides an opportunity for reflection, relationship building, and an opportunity to work together towards social policies to address social determinants of health and relevant health policy thinking. The film highlights the significance of the maternal mortality and challenges in low resource settings and their impacts. This may help health system administrators, policy makers to develop strategic health positions, which may act as bridge-building between communities and health system, and may help to overcome immense problem of maternal mortality. The film captures some of the subtle but important issues of people who live unequal lives, including the ways in which inequalities are expressed and understood. This may help to begin actionable dialogue process, and enabling dialogues between diverse situations. The result of such anticipated conversation, we hope to develop a more comparative, informed and sensitive approach to the issue of maternal health at hand. Nevertheless, this documentary film may throw some of cross cutting systemic issues related to maternal care.
