I didn’t mean to come of distance
I was just not here today
My mind was kinda distant
In a cosmic type of way

I know it must sound strange
But, the aliens came down today
They stole a part of me
That I can’t seem to place

They took it all away and filled it with some joy
It was such and organic feeling,
I wanted it to stay


They whisper the things,
That only lovers say
It branded a hole in my heart
That’s all I have to say

Sorry I was distant it was just
One of those days

Where the angels sang and the devil rose
In a land not so far away.


So as I close my eyes,
This little mantra I say
I’m sorry I was distant,
But.
I really wasn’t here today.
