My first love broke me
Showed me how to close my heart
I always hid my feelings from the world, friends, family
I never really allowed myself to feel again
All of my feelings weren’t as strong as they are now
I talk, listen, laugh, but not love
When I was with him, I never really loved
Yet when I’m you my heart never listened to my mind
It acted on it’s on free will and I could be more happy
When he broke me, I found you
You helped me, made me laugh, made me smile now that I’m with you my heart skips a beat
I never thought you and me would be together
This is the first time I find myself saying I’m happy I was wrong this time
I went from a frown to a smile
A smile to a laugh
A laugh to love
You made me love and you do every time
