That's what i have as i lay me down
Can't close my eyes can't turn out the lights
To a beer can i talk as i drown
And say to love and desire her are my rights
The only one too wear my true crown
Wish to take her to higher heights
And bring her a smile not a frown

The sidewalks late at night i walk
As i sit and see the star so bright
To it i whisper as i talk
Oh! Bright star i ask you
Is she awake or does she sleep
Is she happy or sad and blue
Does she laugh or does she weep
Sleepless Nights
Night in and Night out
Same routine and same time
Her smile I miss no doubt

Then lock me up and let me serve my time
