Born in 1985. Started playing basketball in a local club KK Radnik in Križevci, a small town 60km NE from Zagreb, where he was coached by his father Ante Tomas. Later on he joined KK Zagreb (Croatia) junior team. His brother Ivan Tomas, also a basketball player(point guard)played with him in Zagreb senior squad. He has been a member of the Croatian Cadets National Team; played at the 2001 European Cadets Championship in Riga; has been member of the Croatian Junior National Team; played at the 2002 Junior European Championship in Germany; played at the 2003 World Junior Championship in Greece; member of the Croatian U-20 National Team; played at the 2004 Croatian All Stars game; member of the Croatian National Team; played at the 2005 European Championship in Belgrade; played at the 2007 European Championship in Spain; played at the Olympic qualifying tournament in Athens in 2008; played at the Olympic Games in Beijing 2008
