Golden girl. Right off the beaches
Of California. Perpetually tan with eyes
That steal the brilliant blue from the sky.
Spirit that picks me up and reaches
For laughter; leaves behind in it's wake
People contented with having entered your
Electric veil. I feel sorry for the poor
Ones that can't bask in the daybreak
Of your soul. Come shine your grace on
This old boy. Crack that smile onto my face
And warm my heart. Take me to your place
Of sun, and show me how it's done.
For you are nature incarnate; dancing like leaves
On a tree; singing like the wind on the sea.
