Description
With some white thrown in
Part collie and part spaniel
I often wondered which was which
Your ears were as large, when you were a pup
As when you were full grown
I thought at times you'd take off
they used to flop about so much
A tail that curled like a banner
At least in long grass, we knew where you were
You hated baths, but loved cats
Could never understand why they didn't love you back
Named after the smallest of hobbits
You were our sons constant companion
Where- ever they were, you were too
Always joining in all the fun
Clownish ways, yet territorially minded
You even chased away the window cleaners son
You are now in some doggy heaven
Yet at times, oh how I miss you
But in the end, you were suffering so much
We could only do the kindest of things
And have you put out of your misery
Ah, Pippin, you will always remain in our fond memories.
