Marilyn Shepperson - Ashes
2 Views • Jun 12, 2014
Description
You would think that it is snow
But it is grey as well as white
It lays now on everything, like a blanket
And it has a very strange smell
You would think you're in the kitchen, cooking
It gets into your food and your drink
And suddenly you realise as you eat
It's the ashes of men, women, children sacrificed
On one mans whim
No book, no film can truly portray
The full horror of what went on
Politicians say it will never happen again
But how can they be sure
