Marilyn Lott - Simple Beauty

The sky is so beautiful
A painting God would admire
The colors are so brilliant
Much like a raging fire

Clouds of orange and yellow
Crisscross across the sky
If I could paint it I would
But I would not even try

And then I see a windmill
A design that cannot compare
So magnificent in structure
A creation that is rare

A statue with a simple thought
A little girl with a butterfly
So beautiful and perfect
It makes me want to cry

A barn with so much usefulness
So much purpose that it has
You can picture all the creatures
A building with such cause

A church with the sunset behind it
Is there anything more beautiful to see?
I love such simple beauty
As simple as nature’s tree!
