Marilyn Lott - A Date with God

I’m so thrilled about my day
And I’d like to share it with you
It’s Sunday once again
I have a date with God, it’s true

I could go to church this morning
After breakfast with family
And after my visit with God
I’ll have the day just for me

Of course it does not have to be
In church to visit with God
I can talk to him anywhere I wish
Out in the yard in His precious sod

It doesn’t have to be Sunday either
It could be when I’m doing my chores
Wherever I find convenient
We can talk behind closed doors

Or out in the bright sunshine
Hey, it’s all just up to you
If you have something to say to Him
You can have a date with God too!
