It's lovely to have your voice
In the room, when no-one's there;
To see you sit and face me
With the lamplight in your hair.

It's good to hear your language,
Even if I can't recall
The context. And it's pleasant,
When the leaves begin to fall,

To light the Danish woodstove
And curl up with a book,
Glancing up from time to time
To capture your special look.
