Marcquiese Burrell - Moving Forward In Life

Traveled down a 5mile long path
Left me paralyzed physically and mentally i've become feeble
until the day I discovered a different road
A road which led to my emancipation
in this moment I realized life is too short, nothing is promised to man
on earth
in this hour I've accepted my future
and to embrace all what is expected of me
No regrets of any mistakes done in the past
The past doesn't define you, it reminds you that there's no time to waste
in trivial matters that the present is a treasure that you should cherish
and to make the best of what is acquired
friends and enemies help mold us into who we are today
without them we'd have no real motivation
they encourage us, they discourage us
I cannot move forward without my wins and my losses
This is what makes me stronger
becoming resistant
When life is hard it challenges you
if things were easy life
would amount to nothing, it wouldn't be worth living
I will fight for the things I love
and whatever doesn't matter to me will fade into
the darkness as quick as it appeared
I leave behind a memory
which will forever be treasured by others who finds it
I won't let one setback hold me back
because if I never move forward
i will never have the happiness in which i seek
To be content with the pursuit is the ultimate goal
I would like to be happy with where I am in life
I want to enjoy it
I live, I learn, I love
and will love being free until the end
