Marcos kicks off school-based feeding program in Bulacan

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. arrives at the Pulilan Central School in Pulilan, Bulacan on July 8, 2026 for the kickoff of the School-Based Feeding Program (SBFP) and Milk Feeding Activity. The SBFP is a flagship project by the Department of Education that provides free, nutritious hot meals and milk to undernourished public school learners. The chief executive announced that the program would now cover all Kindergarten and Grade 1 learners nationwide, replacing the previous system of selecting beneficiaries based on nutritional assessment. The president was accompanied by Education Secretary Juan Edgardo Angara and Agriculture Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr.
