At times,
I feel abandoned
Lord.

After a while,
There
Is s shift in perception:

When
My son
On hearing me,
Crying
At midnight,

Comes rushing
With concern
In his eyes.

And holds me
Tight,
I realise you
Are by my side.

Then I wonder,
How could
I be so blind.
With my faith restored,
That you are
Always there,
I just
Have to be aware.
