Description

Yesterday was a weird experience two days ago I found a telephone in car that one of my lyft passengers lost in the car during a paid ride I reported the phone to lyft and agreed to have lyft send my email address and telephone details to passenger to contact me via app so that I could return it well yesterday some lady comes with police to get her phone granted nonething stolen she just used a location app to trace it location I didn't want give her the phone without the police sence she didn't contact me though lyft app and the reason why I didn't want give her phone without the police department is because she could have said I stolen it and could file a claim though lyft allstate insurance saying I didn't give her the phone. First of all she had 12 dollar ride that should had cost 24dollars at most that gave the impression she was out to do something like say I stolen it she didn't offer the 20 dollar lost finder fee if I had not let the cops hand it back she could simply say I didn't return it and try file complaint with lyft insurance and get me fired the proper way is that I report phone to the passenger lyft contacts the passenger and though the app we arrange me drop the telephone off to the passenger or she can give me address and lyft would pay fed ex to deliver it at passager expensive. I've definitely learned my lesson trying to be a nice guy to return something. All said and done I gave phone to the cops they gave it to her and lyft will pay me 20 bucks from her credit card this is the crap you deal with has a lyft driver or uber driver . Had I gave her phone back without going though lyft app it cause me my job and maybe more If I let cops give her phone I've got evidence it was returned and get paid ,20 bucks word to the wise dealing with people is a risky business but you got stay within your rights .
