Lori Boulard - Down the Hatch
2 Views • Nov 07, 2014
Description
Was said best by the Bard
Back in seventh grade.
Since then it’s all been
Downhill
And scout’s honor
Though I never joined,
There are days
When I’d rather take
An honest shot
From Bukowski
Than a sweet sip of dew
From Dickinson.
Don’t misunderstand me.
Dew has its place,
But after a long day
And a long drink
Nothing goes down
Quite like the truth,
Even if it hurts.
