Darkness greets this unwelcome day,
Dreams of happiness fade away,
They're gone before the sun's first ray;
Tears are all I'm capable of.....
Yet, I will always love

At times, lacking the will to live,
When I have nothing left to give,
And solutions are elusive,
Hopelessness fits me like a glove.....
Yet, I will always love

When I say I'm happy, I lie,
Acknowledging my folly, I cry,
When my pain I learn to deny,
Reality gives me a shove.....
Yet, I will always love

I often walk through murky streams,
When hearing life's deafening screams
I hide in mists of poets' dreams,
Begging compassion from above.....
Yet, I will always love

I seek safety among the crowd
When old memories speak too loud,
When draped in life's turbulent shroud,
Why can't I find my peaceful dove?
And yet..... I will always love!
