Ljubav / Love

“Love” is a play designed by the International Pantomime Festival "P(h)antomfest" production and it was premiered at first festival release in 2012. It is directed by a professional actor and mime actor from Skopje, Trajce Gjorgijev, featuring deaf performers who are also the members of The Intermunicipal Organization of Deaf and Hard -of-Hearing People, Vranje.

“Love” is a mime etudes collage dealing with the concept of love – romantic love, craved love, love undone, illusive, eternal love one cannot possibly imagine one’s life without, love that makes us complete, love that brings joy, and yet, love that brings sadness to our lives, love that sometimes turns us into pets, or beasts, troubadours, and bohemians… in one word, humans. Our actors play with their own feelings throughout the sequence of etudes, they search, and the most important, they act. They use all non-verbal theatrical methods in order to express themselves. They use the mime technique, randomly perceived rhythm, they make contact, they talk – in one word, they act-play.

They are dancing across the magical meadows hunting butterflies, dreaming that the beautiful dolls once came to life; they are meeting people via Facebook , having their suits repaired at the tailor’s, they fall in love, they love… so as to , in the end, describe human’s life in terms of philosophy in the shortest way.
