Beaten and burned,

Hurt and Alone,

I'm still here in the dark,

Do I belong?

I know someone's there,

Someone who cares,

They don't tell me who to be,

They love me for me.

Though I've fought my battles young,

At the age I'm supposed to have fun,

I'm not alone,

I've won

I'm not afraid to stand on my own.

Finally I'm not alone.

Finally I belong.
