Description

“Limelight Bandshell”, designed and created by Paul Raff Studio, is a new, permanent public art work at Toronto’s Lee Lifeson Art Park. Artist/architect Paul Raff conceived of the sculpture as a study on the military sound mirrors built off the coast of England in the 1930s. Due to a shape based on acoustic principles, "Limelight Bandshell" works to catch, concentrate and reflect sound. This video is a playful demonstration of how park-goers can interact with the sound sculpture.

Located in North York, Lee Lifeson Art Park explores the theme of sound through interactive sculpture. It is named after the neighbourhood’s famous ex-pats; Rush band members Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson.
