Leopards cause panic in Lalgam

Widespread panic has prevailed in #Lalgam and several adjacent villages of #Panzan area in the vicinity of #Srinagar airport after locals spotted a leopard last evening. Local residents said that there is a group of at least 4 to 5 leopards who inhabit the area due to which they fear to venture out of their houses in evening hours or attend to work during the day. Locals have urged Wildlife authorities to look into the matter and capture the animal to prevent any loss of lives. Locals said that few sheep were also killed in a leopard attack few years back in the area.
