Leibniz’ Contingency Argument

Description

This video is put together by Dr. William Lane Craig's ministry, Reasonable Faith. It attempts to answer the question "Why is there something rather than nothing?" as well as possible, by positing that God, like numbers, did not and does not need to be created. Rather, He exists of necessity. It's certainly an abstract concept, but hopefully one that gets people thinking.
Dr. Craig's Web site which contains a plethora of original content, mostly answers to specific questions about theology, philosophy and apologetics, can be found here: http://www.reasonablefaith.org/
More information on Gottfried Wilhelm von Leibniz can be found here: http://www-history.mcs.st-andrews.ac.uk/Biographies/Leibniz.html

Have a great day, keep thinking, and God bless you!

-- Disclaimer: This is not my video. I didn't make it, and I don't claim any credit for it. Also, I'm not a philosopher or some great scholar, but I think it's important to at least think about this sort of stuff.
I think the questions of whether or not there is a God and what His nature is are some of the most important questions people can ask, answer, and wrestle with. Hopefully this can help with those struggles and decisions.
