The first piece made under the collaborative duo 'Matt & Ross' – whilst studying at The Surrey Institute of Art and Design (Farnham, UK)
Featuring Mat behind the camera, whilst Ross performs on screen – this work represents the beginning of an ongoing series of video performance works (2003-05) surrounding the themes of failure, endurance, and the sublimity of the everyday.
'Learning to Fly' was featured in the the SIAD BA 2003 degree show, 'The Interruptors' symposia and Novel (Gavin Wade/Article Press / 2005-06), and the group exhibition 'Tealeaf' (Cell Projects, London / 2004)
