Description
Speaking in a Foreign Language: Novelty is good for the brain. The brain is a pattern recognition machine. When it perceives novelty, it forms better connections in the prefrontal cortex. In this video Dr. Merchant does a humorous take to emphasize the fact that "Novelty is good for the brain". He believes that you could achieve it by speaking in a different language, listening to music of a different genre, brushing your teeth with the other hand, or anything that the brain perceives as novelty.
